We have worked together for several years and established a track record of creative financing solutions customized to meet complex needs. We are an experienced and creative lender, with a passion for helping small and medium-sized businesses and our dedicated team strives to provide value to the borrower through the life of the transaction.
The team has participated in originations of $300 million of financing transactions in the past four years.
OUR TEAM
Jordan Allen
Chief Executive Officer
Jordan co-founded ALIGN in 2014 and has been the CEO since 2018. He has more than 30 years of experience in the asset management business. While at ALIGN, Jordan led more than 100 financings totaling more than $300M. Before joining ALIGN, Jordan was a partner at a financial services-focused private equity and private debt firm from 2013 to 2018 and held various leadership roles with asset management firms. Earlier in his career, Jordan spent twelve years working at Equity Group Investments, the private investment firm controlled by Sam Zell, in various roles. Jordan graduated from Northwestern University Law School and the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, with a BS in Accounting. He is a JD and CPA.
Thomas Affolter
SVP of Business Development
Tom joined ALIGN in 2021 and has over 20 years of debt and equity investment experience in a variety of roles. Over his career, Tom has focused on middle market secured lending opportunities for ABL transactions, leveraged buyouts, refinancings, recapitalizations and turnarounds in both private equity sponsored and non-sponsored transactions. Tom has a BS in Accounting from Marquette University and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
Robert Richardson
SVP of Underwriting
Prior to joining ALIGN, Rob was a Senior Portfolio Manager and Vice President at a middle market senior lender since 2014. Earlier in his career, Rob spent five years as a Senior Asset Manager in a large regional bank’s Special Assets Group, eight years as a Loan Officer with a commercial finance company and seven years in various roles at various lenders. Rob has an undergraduate degree in Business Management & Accounting from Purdue University and a JD from Chicago Kent College of Law.
Christopher Murray
VP of Underwriting
Chris joined ALIGN in 2026 bringing deep experience across the full credit lifecycle in commercial lending and private credit. Most recently, Chris served as Associate Director at Yieldstreet / Willow Wealth, where he was responsible for the day-to-day asset management of a diverse book of private credit investments spanning debt and equity, with a concentration in equipment finance. Earlier in his career, Chris held multiple roles within asset-based lending organizations, progressing through field examination and credit underwriting functions.
Chris holds a degree from St. Bonaventure University.
Oskar Acosta
Director of Operations
Oskar joined the ALIGN team in 2019. He has been working in Accounting and Operations for over 25 years in various industries including manufacturing, software development and finance. Oskar has an undergraduate degree in Accounting from Western Governor’s University.
